SMART Women's Initiative is a survivor-led organization with vibrant and passionate youths working to ensure we stay true to our vision. We may be small in size but our impact is huge - we experienced GBV at firsthand level therefore, we are building a community of hope, love and safety for female survivors of rape, sexual and domestic abuse. We are intentional unconventional, innovative and inclusive on our approach that works for our sisterhood.

Ms Yansaneh worked at the various media stations as a teen radio presenter on a program called “Pikin Voice” and advocated for less privileged children . Her aim is to amplify the voices of children who are suffering from Sexual & Gender Based Violence.

Tania is currently the gender consultant for National COVID 19 Response Center in Sierra Leone. With her rich expertise in management and leader, Tania has led both National and International organizations.

Amidst other roles, Ramatu is the Executive Director of the Sierra Leone National Association of the Deaf, former Vice President of the Deaf African Football Confederation.
Agatha is a survivor of university campus rape and a champion fighting to end violence against women and girls. She holds a master degree in Development Management from Van Hall Larenstein University in the Netherlands. She's a fellow of the Mandela Washington fellowship and has attended several international conferences. She is an awardee of the 2018 Sustainable Development award.
